Barely four weeks old and full of character, sweetness and joy, baby Gaspard's bright eyes made me fall in love with him on the spot. What a handsome boy he will be!Read More
Summertime in London offers many gorgeous location options for photography. Sun soaked meadows of Hyde Park are always on the top of my list. And, as if the sunshine is not enough, I had this sweet family and their adorable newborn to photograph. Meet Milou, Jean-Batiste, little Gaspard and their dog Elvis.
Ten minutes into a session, I sat them up for a shot, then stepped back and waited. I live for that perfect moment when my families forget I am there and just focus on each other. When the connection is genuine and true emotion comes out, magical images happen.Read More
Today I am happy to share images from a shoot I have done back in April with beautiful Lauren, make-up and hair artist Vickie Ellis and stylist Aisha. I did this shoot because I needed some inspiration ahead of the wedding season. I wanted to bring interesting ideas to my clients and explore natural and simple elements that can be incorporated into a portrait session or a bridal shoot. I believe that the most beautiful ideas come from nature and I have reached deep into my portfolio for images that incorporate warm floral hues and natural tones. Paired with the portraits, they highlight Lauren's beauty and make for simple, natural and minimal aesthetic. I hope you like them and would love to know what you think.Read More
There is so much to say about this family but I feel that if I gush about them, you will surely think I am exaggerating and there is no way they are for real! Esther and Brandon are such beautiful, caring, strong, amazing family and I am grateful they let me in to photograph their new baby Jacob.
I have yet to meet a two-week old with more personality – his little sleep smiles, the way his deep blue eyes open up to the world, or the way he extends one of his tiny hands up over his head and gives a little fist bump. All perfect. We tried few styling poses but at the end my favourite images are the most natural. They capture the little things and expressions that are unique to him. Perhaps when he grows up, the parents will look at these portraits and say something like... look, you still make that expression sometimes! And this is what I love about portraiture – finding best ways to capture unique little things about a subject in front of me, no matter what their age it.Read More
I love travelling but I don't like being a tourist. Feeling like a tourist is like being an outsider, somewhat of an impostor, a casual passer-by who is skimming a peak of the attractions and comes back to their clean orderly hotel room with a continental breakfast. These days anyone can travel anywhere without getting deep into the culture, experiencing the flavour of a place. Hospitality and retail chains make every new place look very similar to the one you just left so travelling mindfully takes an effort. This is why AirBnB is the way I prefer to travel.
When I visited Florence last summer, we stayed at an old converted church apartment that serves both as a home and a working artist studio to a painter. It is hardly possible to imagine a place more saturated with charm and character, textures, vintage objects of curiosity, old and new books and, of course, art. We stayed at our own loft inside the spacious apartment, drank wine, talked art and politics with our host over his stained kitchen table. We watched him smoke, sing and work on his massive canvases while the sun was setting over a small piazza outside. And the mess. I love it!

Oh, lovely Windy City! Chicago is an amazing place to live in for many reasons but weather is not one of them. Summer warmth is something Chicagoans are not spoiled by. This is why balmy afternoon like this one was such a great time for a family photoshoot. We went to Lincoln Park to play, run around, chase birds and beautiful Haley got to go to the zoo afterwards

It is funny how sometimes it is the most unexpected places that capture our hearts, usually for unpredictable reasons. Last December, in a winter-sulken mood we booked two flights to Tulum, Mexico.
We found ourselves a white beachside cabana, part of a small property between all slightly larger and more bohemian eco-boutique hotels in Tulum, and every morning were woken up by the ocean at our doorstep and the sun on the terrace. We spent ten glorious warmth-drenched days there, and I have never felt so relaxed.
We would wake up to the ocean's eternal rhythmical greeting and walk barefoot to breakfast, served under a big palapa roof. The restaurants along the beach all possess an ambiance that I imagined only existed in movies or books. Thatched roofs and reclaimed wood, overgrown with palm trees and exotic tropical plants, strings of lights hanging in the trees, hammocks and makeshift bars tucked in corners. The smell of Mayan incense and wood-grilled food in the air. Sounds of the ocean mixed with ambient music playing in the background. Exotic, intoxicating and like no other place I have been to before...
My main activities those 10 days consisted of eating all the fruit, reading under the palm trees, visiting the pyramids and taking long strolls up and down the beach. Time moves slower there, the pace of the days falls into a natural rhythm and weeks melt away without distractions of modern civilization. There is nothing more important than NOW, except maybe (if you're are an extreme planner type) what restaurant your next margarita or dinner is coming from.
Our hotel, called "Cabanas Tulum," was immaculate with friendly beautiful staff taking care of everything, including sweeping away the seaweed on the beach each morning. And yes, milky turquoise water is really that stunning and true to life as the photographs you see. No photoshop or filter tricks here. This trip was a dream and, sometimes, I think even slightly better that a dream...Read More

When my cousin brought his family to see me in Chicago, where I was living at the time, Veronica and I knew we wanted to do a family shoot somewhere along the famous Chicago Lakefront. We ended up choosing one of my favorite spots in the City - a garden by the Art Institute as it provided a much needed shade on an unusually hot summer day.Read More
The golden afternoon sun shines warmly as Chris is waiting for his Bride to join him in the beautiful garden on his family’s Lake House. Serious goose bumps and misty eyes afflict all guests as striking and slender bride is led down the aisle by her Father. Sounds or harp are intertwined with the sounds of the Lake in a beautiful melody that accompanies their very special Orthodox ceremony.
I was a second photographer at Chris and Galina’s wedding and all images are shot on by beloved Fuji 400 filmRead More

5 girls traveling to Miami Beach for a Bachelorette Party? You bet this will be a weekend to remember!
We could not have asked for a better time weather-wise – gentle ocean, sunshine each day and those perfect warm nights meant for a barefoot walk back to the hotel, heels-in-hands, after a night of dancing. We sampled delicious Cuban flavors in the beachside cafes, spent afternoons sun tanning, enjoyed elaborate Lincoln Street cuisine, drank martinis and danced the nights away in “Miami-vice- inspired” red-velvet-ropes clubs only to wake up just before noon to the sound of the waves and start all over again. Five girls in Miami means quality hours of uninterrupted girl talk, delicious margaritas and hard work on that tan.Read More
